Hutton Settlement is committed to nurturing, educating, and preparing children who are in need of a safe and healthy home. Founded in 1918 by Levi Hutton, Hutton Settlement spans 319 acres in the Spokane Valley and is home to 32 children between the ages of 5 and 18. They not only provide a home but a full family environment and community that lasts a lifetime. Educational excellence, learning, and community awareness and involvement is encouraged through SALUTE programs that include the culinary arts and agriculture. We are asking that you join in our support of this wonderful local organization. Our goal is to raise $4,000 to fund the SALUTE program’s garden in 2019 and collect all of the items on their “wish list.” This garden is ran 100% by the children who are responsible for planting, caring for, and harvesting a variety of fruits and vegetables. The produce grown is used for family dinners, the culinary arts program, and is sold at farmer’s markets to raise money that funds additional programs and outings at Hutton.
