February in Spokane : Fun local events

Fall in love with the Inland NW

Looking for a fun evening to spend with your sweetheart or your friends? The Spokane–Coeur d’Alene area has no shortage of entertainment this February. You could choose to craft a gourmet treat, watch a clash of ice titans, or thrill to the fiery art of flamenco.

Valentine Chocolate Truffle Class | Learn professional candy-making techniques and tips inside Coeur d’Alene’s charming Gaiwan Tea House, then come home with a box of your own handmade truffles and caramels.

Feb. 1, 6pm — tickets here

Hockey (Chiefs Fight Cancer Night) | Cheer as the Spokane Chiefs take on the Tri-City Americans, then join an auction raising funds for the cancer-prevention nonprofit Every Woman Can. Arrive early and you can also support local law enforcement officers, who’ll take the ice in a special benefit match.

Feb. 23, 7:05pm — tickets here (or see the whole schedule here)

Flamenco Aire | Spokane’s Quiero Flamenco organization is gathering musicians and dancers (even an aerial artist!) from around the world for a breathtaking performance.

Feb. 23, 8pm — tickets here

Take on a new challenge

February is the perfect month to rack up new experiences and keep those New Year’s resolutions alive. You might discover a new favorite sport or dive into the (catfish-free!) dating pool.

Women’s Souper Bowl Snowshoe & Cross-Country Ski Sunday | Join a 14-year tradition on Mt. Spokane that benefits the Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant. Choose your trail difficulty, go dashing through the snow, then warm up with a bowl of delicious soup.

Feb. 3, 8:30am — learn more and register

Speed dating at Badass Backyard Brewing | Still looking for your valentine? Don’t sit out the holiday at home. Give love a chance with a series of 7-minute dates at this woman-owned brewery in Spokane Valley.

Feb. 14, 7pm — tickets here

For love of music

February is blowing in classic acts and current chart-climbers to Spokane.

KISS: End of the Road | Be among the first to see the Hall of Fame rockers on their final tour. These legends will light up the stage with their metal anthems and pyrotechnic stunts.

Feb. 4, 7:30pm — tickets here

The Record Company | Funky bass lines and gritty vocals lend a bluesy, lived-in sound to this up-and-coming rock band.

Feb. 5, 8pm — tickets here

Cowboy Junkies | Thirty years after they pioneered the alt-country genre, this Canadian band is still releasing new, heartbreaking original tracks.

Feb. 10, 8pm — tickets here
