Average Temperatures in Spokane WA

When considering a move to a new area, one thing to consider is the weather.  The Spokane Washington region, has four distinct seasons.  The temperatures in Spokane are generally mild, but we do have our extremes.

Our lowest average temperatures (for the day’s low temp) occur in January and December. These low temps average in the 21-22 Degree Fahrenheit range.  The highest (daily high) daily temperatures average in July and August between 82 and 83 Degrees Fahrenheit.

What to do in Spokane?

The extremes in Spokane’s average temperatures does not affect the daily lives of area residents.  Spokane Residents enjoy a diverse set of extra curricular activities regardless of the average temperature.

For Summer months, Spokane Residents enjoy many outdoor activities including water sports on any of the many lakes in the area, or hiking, trail riding, and camping in the thousands of acres of State and National parks within a two-to-three hour drive.

In the Fall, sportsmen (and women) enjoy the plentiful game that inhabit the area as hunting season draws the archery, musket loader and rifle hunters out in droves.

Wintertime brings out skiers, snow boarders and snowmobilers.  Several amazing Ski Resorts are within a 1-2 hour drive from downtown.  Many nearby areas, such as McCall Idaho attract area snowmobilers to play in large amounts of Snow.

The Springtime brings out the gardeners.  Increased sunlight (from daylight savings) brings a palpable cheer across the northwest as we begin to see warmer temperatures, more sunlight and green sprouts emerging everywhere.  We can still see some late frosts during this time, but for the most part Spokane takes advantage of this beautiful time of year.
