It’s all over, news on Twitter, FaceBook and LOADED throughout my inbox – the Realtors, Loan Officers and others shouting to the masses “The Home Buyer Tax Credit was Extended!!!” When the truth of the matter is that it has not been extended.

I’ve been both laughing and cringing while reading Jay Thompson’s commentary on his Phoenix Real Estate blog (post titled: THE TAX CREDIT HAS NOT BEEN EXTENDED. Yet. So PLEASE stop saying it has been! ).  He’s provided colorful examples of false cries that it has been extended.

As of now, there are many more steps required for this to become a law, Jay has provided the “School House Rock – How A Bill Becomes A Law” YouTube clip for his readers.

Just when I thought I’d seen it all.  Pretty clever if you ask me. 

We spent some time looking in Coeur d’Alene’s Sander’s Beach Neighborhood last week.  My client, not wanting to leave her boyfriend behind (who’s out of town on business), crafted this ingenious “head on a stick,” not only just in time for Halloweeen, but in time to snap a few photos to include him in our home search. 

We had eight or nine homes on the agenda that day, and in each we struck poses (careful not to leave the “head on a stick” out of any of them). 

We attracted a strange look when we entered one home (the occupants didn’t leave) and quickly had to explain our “situation.” After a good laugh, the *ahem* three of us went on our way.
